If you upload through the Blogger tool, these won't pixelate as much.
Or if you're on your Mac, you may have to resize them a second time when you export them from PhotoShop or whatever you're using to match the width of your mainbar. (Maybe 400ish pixels wide?)
I've agonized over this plenty o' nights on my own blog. Stupid pixels.
